Kim O'Toole has been the director/owner of The Academy F.T.K. since it was established in 2001. She feels that, while growing up, children should have the opportunity to experience many types of activities in and out of school. She has developed both pleasure and training programs at The Academy F.T.K. that allow students to do just that. At The Academy F.T.K. Kim teaches all levels and ages, from the smallest little beginners through the advanced teens (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Contemporary). Dancers at The Academy F.T.K. have a wonderful opportunity to develop self-esteem, social skills, and self-discipline, while learning their dancing skills. Kim, who was born and raised in Greeley, CO, studied at the Lynn Bassett Dance Factory. She also studied at Tremaine, Dupree schools in Los Angeles, at Gus Giordano's in Chicago and was a member of The Cecchetti Council of America. As a young dancer herself she went to many different conventions and competitions. Now she's training students that enjoy a class once a week on up to the more serious dancers-The Academy F.T.K.'s competition team The Songe Dancer.
